Backgammon and a roaring fire

It’s been way too long since we have been here. Work and travel has got in the way. We arrived late this evening under a sky full of stars.

We brought several bags of old paper to burn, got the fire swept out and lit and reminded ourselves how to play backgammon.

The roof is still leaking and although the cool box we placed underneath has caught some of the water it hasn’t caught it all. We finally met our next door neighbour as we arrived tonight and it turns out he’s a roofer. Tomorrow morning he will hopefully help us take a look at where the water is coming in. It’s good to be back.
